Inspired by Kylemore: Handmade Pottery Jewellery
Nestled in the heart of Connemara, Kylemore is a place shaped by landscape, tradition, and creativity. Inspired by the people, places, and stories that surround us every day, the Kylemore Pottery Jewellery Collection has been handcrafted in the Kylemore Pottery Studio by potter and former Kylemore Abbey School student, Gemma Coyne.
Each pendant is individually designed, decorated, and fired by hand, creating a unique piece inspired by the place it calls home.
Inspired by the Landscape Connemara
The mountains, woodlands and ever-changing scenery of Connemara have long been a source of inspiration for artists and makers. This collection reflects the beauty of the natural world that surrounds Kylemore, drawing on the textures, forms and influencers found throughout the landscape.
Designed to be worn every day, each piece offers a small connection to Connemara and the West of Ireland.

Celtic Symbols
Five designs within the collection take inspiration from traditional Celtic knotwork and symbolism including the Celtic Lovers Knot, Double Trinity Knot, Celtic Star, Trinity Knot, and Celtic Triskele.
For centuries, Celtic symbols have appeared in Irish art, design, and storytelling. Their flowing forms and interconnected patterns continue to inspire today, offering a contemporary interpretation of Ireland's rich cultural heritage.
The Celtic Triskele was among the first pieces created for the collection. Often associated with the interconnectedness of earth, sea, and sky, its spiral form reflects the enduring connection between nature and place.

Reflecting Kylemore's Benedictine Heritage
The collection also includes two cross designs inspired by the Benedictine heritage of Kylemore Abbey.
Simple and timeless in design, these pieces acknowledge a tradition that continues to shape Kylemore Abbey today. They offer a subtle tribute to Kylemore's spiritual history while remaining beautifully understated and easy to wear.

Inspired by Some Familiar Faces
No visit to Connemara would be complete without spotting sheep on the surrounding hillsides.
The collection's two sheep designs celebrate these much-loved residents of the landscape and provide a playful nod to the rural character of the region. Inspired by the scenery that surrounds Kylemore, they capture a small but familiar part of everyday life in Connemara.

Crafted by Hand in the Kylemore Studio
Every pendant begins as clay in the Kylemore Pottery Studio.
From shaping and carving to decorating, firing and finishing, each stage of the process is completed by hand. This careful approach means no two pieces are ever exactly alike, making every necklace a unique expression of traditional craftmanship and contemporary design.
Created by former Kylemore Abbey School student Gemma, the collection celebrates both creativity and connection to place.
